The Times in Which We Live

ree

Isaiah 10:1-4 "Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed. To rob the needy of justice, and to take what is right from the poor of My people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless. WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE DAY OF PUNISHMENT? And in the desolation which will come from afar? TO WHOM WILL YOU FLEE FOR HELP? And where will you leave your glory? WITHOUT ME THEY SHALL BOW DOWN AMONG THE PRISONERS, and they SHALL FALL AMONG THE SLAIN. For all His anger is not turned away, BUT HIS HAND IS OUTSTRETCHED STILL."

For far too long in the nation the Christian populous has remained silent. We have sat idly by while they put unrighteous legislation into place. We have remained silent as they spat on and robbed our constitution of its authority. Our individual rights have been trampled and worse is yet to come. Why do we remain silent? How can we stand before our righteous Judge and say we haven't done all we could to stop unrighteous legislation from infiltrating our land? Wake up Church!

I have been listening to multiple pastors taking a stand for what is right in the sight of God. I have been sharing message after message. This nation has pushed God out. Out of the public square; out of school; out of our legislation, out of sight, and out of mind.

The quote “A republic, if you can keep it” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin. It was his response to a question posed by Elizabeth Willing Powel at the close of the Constitutional Convention of 1787. When asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” Franklin replied, "A republic, if you can keep it"

This quote highlights the idea that maintaining a republic requires active and ongoing effort from its citizens. It’s a reminder of the responsibilities that come with self-governance.

Our nation was founded by godly men seeking freedom from tyrannical governments abroad. One of the main reasons immigrants came to this country in the beginning was to be able to freely worship God in spirit and in truth, without the hand of the government getting involved to restrict what could and could not be taught. In our Declaration of Independence as well as our Constitution, verbiage is used that lets the reader know exactly in which God our founders believed. How far have we strayed from those formative years. Men and women of God now sit back and enjoy their excesses instead of repenting for allowing all this manner of evil to overcome the nation our forefathers fought so hard to establish. Our very freedoms hard won are at stake. Our heritage and legacy that we leave behind to our children and grandchildren will be a nation of the demonic if we don't speak up and act on our rights.

This election year, read every proposed legislation for yourself before you vote for it or against it. Research your candidates voting records and where they stand of topics and legislation that matter to God. Remember, our God is a God of the living. He gives life. He gives love. He gives abundance. He can also take away as a means of punishment for those who forget Him and are unruly. He can bring in an enemy that can destroy us from within. Look at what happened to Israel over the years. God in His Sovereignty allowed the nations they were told to annihilate to be "thorns in their side," and informed them that their gods would be a snare to them. It has been so ever since. And dare I say as our own nation has forgotten and forsaken God, the same enemy gods have come in to fill the void left behind with all manners of evils that have destroyed so many and seek to destroy more every passing second. Will you be victim or will you be victorious? We can do nothing if we sit back and talk and complain amongst ourselves. We must speak up. We must show up. We must act out our faith. We must stand against the wiles of the enemy. Our nation, and our legacy is at stake. The very soul of our Nation, once under God, has been infiltrated from the enemy. Will you fight against it?

I urge you to read Deuteronomy 28. Our nation has been blessed from its founding because it was founded upon righteous principles as one nation under the Sovereign Authority of the Almighty God. When He was pushed out by lies, not our actual Constitution, we invited the curses mentioned in this passage. "Deut. 28:15 "But it shall come to pass if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you." Our nation once blessed is a nation bankrupted. We, once a mighty nation feared by the world over for its strength, has become a leaderless laughingstock!

I further urge you to read Isaiah 5. Is. 5:13-16 "Therefore, My people have gone into captivity (for us, we have been silenced, our churches shut down, our sermons removed from social media) because they have no knowledge; their honorable men are famished and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore, Sheol (hell) has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure; their glory and their multitude and their pomp, and he who is jubilant, shall descend into it. People shall be brought down. Each man shall be humbled. But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgement, and God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness." These are words applicable to our nation, right now. Pray, seek His face. Let Him lead and direct your conscious to act accordingly.

Be blessed by being a blessing.
